The Monday Bridge group meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday at IHOP on Old Denton Rd. They meet at 12:00 p.m. for lunch and start playing bridge at 1.00 p.m. Most of the members of this group have only played a few years.

Our general meetings are the 2nd Thursday of each month, September through May, at 10:00 a.m. Most meetings are at Grace Lutheran Church (no affiliation), 1200 E Hebron Parkway, Carrollton, TX 75010.  We welcome all guests; come meet the members and learn about the fun and wonderful activities the Carrollton Women's Club has to offer.  Sign-in and activity sign-up starts at 9:30 a.m. (Exceptions: December and April meetings are at different locations and require pre-paid tickets. The May meeting is at a different location and will be at 5 p.m.)

 

SPEAKER – DWIGHT PUTNAM           

Helping to make children whole…that is what our CWC Nov. 8^th meeting speaker does every day.  He is Dwight Putnam, a staff prosthetist at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.  His specialty is creating upper extremity prosthetic solutions.

Graduating with an art degree from Austin College in Sherman, TX, Dwight spent time as a commercial sculptor, a silicone technician and in 2007 graduated from California State University Prosthetics program.

He has wonderful, inspirational stories to tell.  So join us and his proud mother, Nancy Putnam CWC’s own member and ex-president on Nov. 8^th and learn about this program that gives hope to so many.

Program... Steve, owner of "Steve's Leaves" with over 1000 varieties of exotic and rare plants in Lewisville, will speak on Begonias. He may bring some plants we will want to purchase.
Out to Eat...

Our Craft and Bake Sale to be held at Indian Creek HOA Clubhouse, 1689 Bandera Dr, Carrollton, TX 75010 (off Hebron Pkwy, next door to Coyote Ridge Golf Club).

Bookmarks is our book club. We meet at 10 a.m. at Marshall's BBQ to discuss the book for the month. Our chair is Nancy Fitzpatrick (fitznanc@gmail.com). Come join us!
